Schedule Help

Need help with a 6 person schedule.

See attached.

3 persons on-call at all times during a 12 hour shift, that flip flops every 12 hours from one group of 3 to another group of 3 and back again. Would be nice if daylight savings was automatic instead of editing schedule twice a year. India does not do daylight savings, USA does.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for reaching out! If you have 3 people on call at the same time, you will have to create 3 Schedules.

If there are three people in the USA timezone and three people in the India time zone, you would just have to create three Schedules, where one Schedule has persons 1 and 4, the second Schedule has persons 2 and 5, and the third Schedule has persons 3 and 6.

In regards to the daylight savings time issue, could you describe your use-case here further? Do the hours of the USA team change every from 7 to 7? If not, regardless of the time of year, the India team will always have to adapt to the time change.

The daylight savings would affect USA no since India does not observe it? USA hours would change 2 times a year, see the link I put in the original post.

March of this year and still no daylight savings feature?

I find it surprising that DST support was not a part of the very first release of this tool since time sensitivity is a vital part of a tool like this.

Thanks for your feedback! We’ve shared it directly with the Product team so they’re aware of your needs to have a schedule support multiple Daylight Savings Time across varying timezones.

Our engineering team is working hard to improve upon our existing product and ship out new features to best help our customers streamline their incident management process. This means that they don’t always have the bandwidth to address every feature request before reporting on it reaches a point of critical mass. In the spirit of being fully transparent, we do not currently have an ETA on implementing this functionality. We do our best to prioritize customer-reported requests based on the level of impact on all our customers.
